The official reception will take place on 10 May 2021 in the cloisters of the Museum of Leiria<\/a> (must to select english language up right corner), a monument built from 1577 (the church) and 1579 (the convent complex), and now inhabited by the new museum offering a warm welcoming experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference dinner, after visiting the Leiria medieval Castle<\/a>, will be at the MIMO museum (on the castle wall) on Wednesday, 12 May 2021 from 20:00 to 24:00. The castle has, on the one side, a beautiful view to the city and, on the other side, to the countryside and sunset. Participants will taste a menu with local dishes (non-pork dishes will be also included) and enjoy pleasant Folcklore music by a live group. For accompanying persons, a fee of 65 EUR will be charged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Leiria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Leiria is located in the Centro Region and sub region of Pinhal Litoral, about halfway between Lisbon and Porto. The distance to Lisbon is 137 kilometres (85 miles), to Coimbra 70 kilometres (43 miles) and to Porto 177 kilometres (110 miles). The historic city centre spreads between the castle hill and the river Lis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leiria is also included in the Regi\u00e3o de Leiria. As the main city in this community, the area of influence of Leiria spreads over the cities of Marinha Grande, Our\u00e9m, F\u00e1tima, Pombal as well the municipalities\/town seats of Batalha and Porto de M\u00f3s located nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May is still a great time to visit Centre of Portugal. The temperature is quite mild and is the most flowery season of the year, which is very pleasant for walks and hikes outdoors. You can enjoy the delicious food, taste the great wines, visit the religious area of Fatima, the area of Big Waves in Nazar\u00e9, the highest mountain range in Continental Portugal and make a pleasant visit to a splendid region with a great heritage buildings and History.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
