The development of teaching materials for Portuguese as a Global Language / Foreign Language / Second Language / Heritage Language has evolved a lot in recent years. Teachers and students can now rely on a body of scientifically validated learning principles and procedures, and choose from a large array of teaching materials (including digital resources), aimed at different contexts and learner profiles. With this growth comes also the need to validate such materials, and to determine their real impact on students’ communicative competences.
The International Conference “Portuguese as a Global Language” addresses the elaboration, implementation and validation of teaching resources, focussing both on research and classroom application.
