Arrive to Leiria

Leiria is located around 150 km from Lisbon and around 190 km from Oporto. Both cities served by international airports.
Regular daily coaches provide transport from these cities to Leiria.

TRAVELLING FROM LISBON AIRPORT TO LEIRIA
  • Go to the Main bus station called Terminal Rodoviário de Sete Rios. The bus station is located in the center of Lisbon, approximately 2 km from the airport. You can get there by:
    • Taxi, which will cost around €10 and will take around 8 minutes. Cards are usually accepted for payment.
    • Bus (Aerobus 2), which will cost around €4 and can take up to 20 minutes. We strongly recommend using coins for payment. Buses will stop in the Sete Rios station.
    • Subway, which will cost around €2,45 and can take up to 30 minutes. Take the Red Line from the Airport to São Sebastião (11 stops). In São Sebastião, switch to the Blue Line (direction Reboleira) and continue to Jardim Zoológico (2 stops). Exit at Jardim Zoológico, which is 1-minute walking distance from the Sete Rios bus station.
  • In the Sete Rios bus station, buy your ticket to Leiria, and make sure you choose a coach that makes no stops. (The fastest service will take 1 hour and 30 minutes. Others can take up to 2 hours). Tickets cost around €14.

For those coming by car from the South:

Take higway A1, direction “North” (Porto) or higway A8, direction “North” (Aveiro) and then take the first exit to “Leiria Sul.”

For those coming by car from the North:

Take highway A1, direction “South”(Lisboa) and then take the only exit to “Leiria” or drive along highways A29 and A17, near the coast, direction “South” (Lisboa) and then take the second exit at “Leiria Sul. ”

For those coming by car from Beiras/Spain:

Take highway A23 towards Torres Novas and then take highway A1, to “North” (Porto), or drive along highway A25, to Aveiro and then take highway A1, to “South” (Lisboa).
