CDRSP-IPLeiria Researcher Appointed as Visiting Research Fellow at Churchill Hospital Oxford UK

The Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development of the Institute Polytechnic of Leiria is pleased to announce that Professor Geoffrey Mitchell, the Vice-Director of CDRSP-IPleiria , has been appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow at Churchill Hospital part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It is one of the best equipped hospital in Europe for diagnosis  and treatment of cancer. Professor Mitchell will be collaborating with Professor Malcolm Sperrin,  Director of Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering  at Churchill Hospital  on new developments in Direct Digital Manufacturing for Medicine.

Professor Geoffrey Mitchell said: “It is a great opportunity to collaborate with a leading Hospital in Europe in an area central to the strategy of CDRSP-IPLeiria. We have already identified some exciting collaborative projects and we plan that this work will also benefit hospitals in  Leiria and  throughout Portugal.
