Prime-Minister inaugurates new CDRSP-IPLeiria facilities
On the 21st of April, the new building of the Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development was inaugurated by António Costa, Prime-minister of Portugal, in Industrial Park of the Marinha Grande. This event gathered many political and academic personalities such as Ana Abrunhosa, President of CCDRC and Paulo Vicente, Mayor of the city of Marinha Grande.
These new facilities gathers 15 laboratories and training rooms that will serve as support for R&D activities, advanced training and dissemination actions, aiming for knowledge and technology transfer between academia and industry.
At the inaugural address, António Costa highlighted the importance of IPLeiria in the development of region of Leiria, stating that IPLeiria “has significantly contributed to the placement of Marinha Grande and the region of Leiria in the front line of the industrial development, internationalisation and exporting capacity of Portugal.
