Sustainable intelligent manufacturing is regarded as a manufacturing paradigm for the 21st century. The International Conference on Sustainable Intelligent Manufacturing (sim.ipleiria.pt), organized by the Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development (cdrsp.ipleiria.pt), Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, and the Faculty of Architecture, Technical University of Lisbon, took place at Lisbon, Portugal, from June 26 to June 29, 2013.
The Conference aimed to provide a major international forum for academics, researchers and industrial partners to exchange ideas in the field of sustainable intelligent manufacturing and related topics. Its expected to foster networking and collaboration among participants to advance knowledge and identify major trends in the field.
