Submission of proposals
The program for the XV International Conference – Research, Practices and Contexts in Education includes parallel sessions aimed at the presentation, analysis and discussion of educational experiences, projects, research studies, tools and teaching materials, in connection with the thematic areas defined for the Conference.
These sessions are conceived as privileged spaces for knowledge sharing, critical reflection, and interdisciplinary dialogue among participants, promoting the dissemination of innovative practices, significant experiences, and relevant research results in the fields of Education and Social Sciences.
Submitted papers ( extended abstract with a maximum of 500 words ) should fall under one of the following topics:
- Teaching and Learning Experiences (formal and non-formal education contexts)
- Community development
- Other experiences (in formal and non-formal education contexts)
The Organizing Committee of IPCE2026 invites all members of the educational community – including educators, teachers, researchers, higher education students, leaders and managers of institutions, as well as education professionals – to submit proposals for papers to be presented at the Conference.
Rules for submitting papers:
For oral presentations to be accepted, the following criteria must be met:
1. The topic of the presentation must be of a technical-scientific nature and fall within one of the thematic areas of the conference.
2. The work submitted must be original, unedited, and not presented in any other scientific publication or event.
3. The work may be submitted in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.
4. The authorship of the work may be collective or individual.
5. One of the authors of the paper must be registered for the Conference.
6. Participants must submit their extended abstract by September 7 , 2026 to the conference email address – ipce@ipleiria.pt – in Word format (Template-de-Resums-IPCE2026).
7. Abstracts must comply with the rules defined in the document “Template-de-Resums-IPCE2026”, provided by the organization.
8. Presentations may be given in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.
9. Each author may submit, as first author, a maximum of three works.
10. Acceptance of the paper for presentation at the Conference will be confirmed by email from the Organizing Committee, after review by members of the Scientific Committee, by September 25, 2026 .
11. The composition of the scientific jury is the responsibility of the Organizing Committee, whose decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
12. In evaluating extended abstracts, the members of the Scientific Committee will take into consideration:
i) The relevance of the proposal to the conference theme
ii ) The scientific quality and contributions of the work
iii ) Compliance with writing standards (e.g., APA 7th edition standards )
13. Authors who register and present their work at the Conference will receive a certificate of presentation.
14. Entries that do not comply with the guidelines set out in this document will be excluded.
15. Oral presentations will be organized according to the scientific program of the Conference and may take the form of summaries of scientific articles or reports (educational experiences, educational projects, ongoing projects and/or research projects).
16. Extended abstracts approved by the Conference Scientific Committee and presented at the Conference will be published in a Book of Abstracts.
- Presentation of oral communications
Oral presentations will have a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
Following the Conference, authors who wish to do so may submit the corresponding article based on the work presented, until December 20, 2026, for possible publication in the journal Investigação, Educação e Contextos em Educação (RIPCE).
The article should be submitted in scientific format and have a maximum of 30,000 characters (including spaces), excluding title, author affiliation and contact information, abstract, and keywords. The abstract and keywords should be submitted in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
Following the blind peer review process, the authors will be notified of the evaluation results.
The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
